Smarter imports, higher limits, better control
Three major upgrades: more accurate Excel extraction, higher usage limits, and smarter data rules

This release focuses on three major upgrades: more accurate Excel extraction, higher usage limits, and smarter data rules — plus a few quality-of-life improvements across imports.
Smarter Excel extraction
If you upload spreadsheets or structured documents into a templated workbook, Vern now understands your column structure before mapping data.
What this means:
Data maps directly into predefined columns
Better handling of non-standard layouts (forms, reports, dashboards)
Repeating sections grouped into one clean table
Less manual cleanup after extraction
Especially useful for CRM, HRIS, ERP, finance, and operational exports — where layouts are rarely perfect.
Outcome: Higher first-pass accuracy and faster onboarding.
Higher usage limits
We’ve significantly increased monthly capacity:
Tier | Scout Web Agent Runs | Workbook Row Limit |
|---|---|---|
Vern Launch | 5,000 | 100,000 rows |
Vern Growth | 10,000 | 1,000,000 rows |
You can now process larger migrations and run more transformations without hitting limits.
Outcome: More headroom as your onboarding volume scales.
Smarter rules for mapping, filtering & calculations
You can now apply structured logic like:
“Apply this rate if order date falls within a specific window.”
“Select the correct commission tier based on deal size.”
“Delete rows where Status = Inactive”
“If a value is empty, default it to ‘UNKNOWN’.”
“Round revenue to 2 decimal places.”
These rules now support:
Date and numeric ranges
AND / OR conditions
Explicit empty-value handling
Fast, deterministic execution
Outcome: More complex migration logic — without brittle workarounds.
Other improvements
Clearer CSV upload error messages
More reliable large file handling
Improved automatic column matching
Toggle to include/exclude rows with missing deduplication keys
Small changes — smoother imports.
